Use (Hekserij)
Ionone beta has a floral scent reminiscent of iris and violet, with clear
aspects of wood and forest fruits. The scent is not particularly strong,
undiluted use is common. It is a versatile material that is mainly used for
fruit and floral accords. Fruit can include forest fruits such as blackberry,
strawberry and raspberry, but also melon or apricot. In flowers: iris and
violet, but also rose, osmanthus and freesia. You usually use between 0,1% and
20% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It combines well with fruit,
flowers and wood. Even in a somewhat lower dosage it can have a harmonizing
effect on the fragrance composition. In perfumes it is mainly a base note, it is
stable in many products, also in soap.
