Description

Irone Alpha is a molecule naturally found in iris extract and is olfactorily related to the ionone group. When used properly, it can add volume, elegance, and enhance the diffusion of a fragrance composition. Note: For beginners, it is recommended to first work with ionones (such as Alpha Ionone, Beta Ionone, Iralia, etc.). These have a similar scent profile but are much more affordable.

While it doesn't have the complexity of Orris Absolute (which is a blend of Irone Alpha, Irone Gamma and Irone Beta), it is incredibly beautiful, powerfully diffusive and radiant. Irone Alpha is sweet and fruity (towards a raspberry note) with woody and seedy nuances and a distinctly iris heart. There is no question at all: no perfume lab is complete without this material. It is pricey but a little goes a long way.
