It is the truest and most intense citrus aroma you can imagine. Lime Cold Pressed oil is created through the mechanical pressing of fresh lime peels. Unlike distillation, this process does not use heat, allowing the full, unaltered spectrum of volatile aromatic compounds to remain in the oil. It is this method that yields an aroma perfectly mirroring the moment a juicy lime is cut – with its characteristic tartness, freshness, and sweetness. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: PHOTOTOXICITY The oil obtained this way contains natural furanocoumarins, which make it phototoxic.
