Known for its sweet, elegant profile, it is one of the most floral members of the methyl ionone group, making it ideal for building nuanced floral accords or adding sophistication to woody and amber bases. It blends beautifully with creamy white florals like mimosa, jasmine, and neroli, and adds structure and depth in both classic and modern perfume designs. Thanks to its long-lasting character and smooth transition between notes, it also works well as a fixative.
