Description

Operanide, introduced at the Simppar trade show in early June 2023, was a long-kept secret before it was made available to a broader range of perfumers. It is considered one of the most sophisticated molecules in the woody-amber family. When experiencing Operanide, it feels as if one is sensing a blend of 2-3 molecules rather than a single substance, which showcases its complexity and depth. Acclaimed perfumer Arcadi Boix Camps has spoken highly of Operanide. Here is an excerpt from one of his statements: "The marvelous molecule is powerful, and very mossy. A creamy soft amber woody jewel with gourmand nuances. Operanide, is a dry amber, Cedarwood, mellowed by Cashmeran and as IFF says an amber symphony captured by Operanide. It is one of the best molecules in the World. It is extremely strong having an exquisite elegance, a delicate amber smell, and a strong mossy note and a faint and subtle woody scent so diffusive, so tantalizing and so full of class. It has been used in many top fragrances amongst them Invictus for men by Paco Rabanne which cannot be reproduced without the IFF molecule." First discovered in 2001 by the same IFF chemist that discovered AmberXtreme, Operanide is one of the most perfect modern amber molecules with a creamy quality nuanced by moss, soft woods and gourmand facets. It is an incredibly diffusive and radiant material which joins the likes of Amber Xtreme, Ambrocenide [https://fraterworks.com/products/ambrocenide-10-dpg], Amberketal and others in the radiant amber family, though usable in far greater amounts as it is considerably easier to control. Until recently a captive of IFF. A simple blend of Operanide and Amber Xtreme results in an accord more elegant, more radiant and more beautiful than either chemical singularly. To that you can add profound fixative qualities with a touch of Z11® MIP (preferable to the HD version). Even a small amount of Operanide adds a lovely creaminess and naturalises blends astonishingly well. It adds varnish to wood materials. In addition, Operanide blends beautifully with Ambrocenide [https://fraterworks.com/products/ambrocenide-10-dpg], Musks Zenolide and Edenolide, tonka materials (for example Florex [https://fraterworks.com/products/florex] and Coumarone [https://fraterworks.com/products/coumarone]), everything patchouli (especially Clearwood [https://fraterworks.com/products/clearwood]®), Vetiverol [https://fraterworks.com/products/vetiverol-ex-vetiver-haiti] and Vetiveryl Acetate [https://fraterworks.com/products/vetiveryl-acetate], the Rose Ketones (with olfactorily similar chemicals such as Ethyl Safranate) and the ozonic / marine family (Cascalone, Calone, Maritima, Floralzone, etc). aromachem Best Seller no_reg power
