Ethyl Maltol was thrust in to the public consciousness with the launch of
Thierry Mugler's Angel (1992) by Olivier Cresp and Yves de Chirin with what
would now be considered a rather tame dose of 0.5%.
Now more commonly found in quantities up to and beyond that of Baccarat Rouge
540's generous 2%, this is absolutely a must-have material for modern perfumers.
