Less well known that its cousin Methyl Salicylate, Ethyl Salicylate is clearly related but softer and more rounded and most definitely easier to dose. Both chemicals have an obviously wintergreen connotation but it is definitely sweeter in this ethyl ester. Ethyl Salicylate is heavy, floral and fruity and is a wonderful blender and booster of Ylang-ylang (whether it be synthetic or natural) and great with Cassie and Mimosa as we see in the lovely original Zen (1964) fragrance from Shiseido (Demo formula below). aromachem Best Seller Missing_EU/Specs MISSING_HS_CODE_ORIGIN missing_IFRA51 missing_info no_reg
