Use (Hekserij)
Eugenol has a spice scent reminiscent of cloves and allspice. The scent is not
particularly strong, undiluted use is common. Typical use is in spicy
fragrances, chypre, fougère and in certain floral accords, such as rose and
carnation. You usually use between 0,1% and 5% of this substance in the
fragrance composition. It combines well with spicy scents, but also with many
floral scents and citrus. It adds warmth and spiciness to the scent. In perfumes
it is mainly a heart note, it is stable in most products. It can be used in
soap, but it can cause discolouration.

Properties (Hekserij)
Eugenol is a colourless to yellow liquid at room temperature. It occurs
naturally, especially in the branches, leaves and buds of the clove bush, and in
the bark of the cinnamon tree, but can also be made synthetically. We sell a
natural isolate made from parts of the clove bush.
