smaller quantities and fewer formulas than the big boys: Citronellol, Geraniol
and Phenyl Ethyl Alcohol.

Primarily used as a floral enhancer and citrus brightener, adding
freshness, radiance, and naturalness to rose, neroli, orange blossom, and citrus
compositions.
Use (Hekserij)
Nerol has a sweet floral scent with fresh citrus notes of orange blossom and
rose. The smell is not very strong, so it can be used undiluted. It is very
versatile, but is mainly used in orange blossom in larger quantities. In smaller
quantities in flowers like rose and magnolia, fruits like citrus and melon. It
also works very nicely with wood and with bitter scents such as oud and myrrh.

Physical properties

At room temperature it is a colorless to pale yellow liquid. The purity is at
least 90%, with the rest mainly consisting of geraniol and citronellol. The
substance has a long shelf life. The substance occurs in nature, including
essential oils of clary sage, davana and orange blossom. For use as a fragrance,
the synthetic version is used.
