Distilled from wild and plantation sandalwood trees (including the esteemed heartwood) in Mysore (Mysuru), Karnataka with a minimum age of 25 years, this is the finest quality sandalwood essential oil (मैसूर चंदन तेल). This is the authentic sandalwood of bygone days, sourced from the region formerly known as the Kingdom of Mysore (encompassing a greater area than the present day Mysore city). This essential oil is so vibrant and alive that it dances. Packed with creamy goodness that typifies the highest quality sandalwood, this product also has a classic almost musky animal intensity in the dry down. This is not a linear B-grade sandalwood extraction, this is a rich and complex classic sandalwood oil. Wear it straight on the skin, add it to a perfume, or put it down to age for a decade. This is the gold standard of sandalwood which is why it carries our “signature” mark.
