Pink peppercorn is not really from the pepper family (Piper nigrum). Schinus molle (false pepper tree, Peruvian pepper) is an evergreen tree native to Peru with a wonderfully piquant and fresh top note and resinous balsamic dry down that is universally loved. This prestige essential oil from LMR is extracted from the berries of the tree and is extremely versatile. Not to be confused with the close relative Schinus terebinthifolius (Brazilian Pepper and a native of that place) which, although also very beautiful, has a more astringent top note quality.
