It features in an overdose in Un Jardin Sur Le Nil by Jean-Claude Ellena for Hermès where it forms part of his green mango accord, and is found in traces in virtually every modern department store fragrance. When you need blackcurrant, this is the base you should turn to. Use it in amounts up to 0.1% to add nuance, radiance and a light fruity connotation to the opening of your fragrance, or in higher amounts for a distinctly blackcurrant note. And don't be fooled by the name, Cassis Base 345B is also floral (particularly in the rose direction), green and minty. The versatility of this base cannot be overstated.
