Given it's rarity and price, Osmanthus Absolute is only produced by a few companies at present. There are, of course, the "supreme five": LMR (IFF), Floral Concept, V. MANE Fils, Payan Bertrand and Robertet, and then the mid-range Givaudan (Albert Vielle), and Firmenich. As with all our naturals, we don't seek the lowest prices, we seek the finest products and so we tested all the offerings of the aforementioned (even those at the lower end of the scale). The choice was an easy one: LMR. Rcently LMR has been producing an Osmanthus that simply astonishes. From the succulent scent of ripe apricots to the aristocratic leather scent of a royal stable, this Osmanthus absolute is the reference for this remarkable and exotic oriental flower extract. Smelling this absolute is like smelling Osmanthus all over again for the first time. It is, simply put, breathtaking. Note: this replaces the absolute we were previously selling by V. MANE Fils as it took the crown in our 2025 internal product competition in which we test naturals from a variety of sources. We are selling this at 10% in natural triethyl citrate and pure.
