While the most common lime oil in perfumery is distilled Mexican lime, this Persian Lime (ex Mexico) is expressed (cold pressed), giving a truer and more complex lime impression. Additionally, this LMR speciality is rectified to reduce the harmful furoucoumarins making it a really great alternative to the safe distilled oil without losing parts of the lime profile. Cold pressed lime retains the most natural, zesty, and vibrant aroma of the lime peel. Due to the risk of oxidation over the long term, a touch of BHT or Tocopherol (less than 0.1%) is recommended if you plan to store this oil. Keep it away from heat and direct sunlight. This is a lovely and rare lime oil and one that all perfumers should try, even if you already have the distilled oil.
