The scent of Shinto shrines, Buddhist temples and palaces in Japan, Hinoki Wood is a type of cypress with a distinctive top note character with a rounded camphoraceous quality. It is softer than pine and fir oil and has a very lovely smoky and leathery facet. It would be ideal in a forest based scent or a fantasy fresh fragrance and would be very interesting with Dihydromyrcenol [https://fraterworks.com/products/dihydromyrcenol] as the main part of a modern top note accord. IFRA: Hinoki Wood has no limitations under IFRA however LMR undertakes internal testing and they use that testing when they produce their “IFRA” documents. Consequently while LMR says the limit is 0.02% in this product, that is not the IFRA limit. This is a quirk of LMR. We supply their IFRA document as a matter of reference only.
