Vetiver Acetate is one of the most popular zizanoides products which is frequently blended with fine vetiver oil for a softening effect or used on its own as a fresh, long lasting and modern vetiver note. There are two types of the acetate: Vetiver Acetate and Vetiveryl Acetate. The first (this product) is produced from Vetiverol (a mix of vetiver alcohols) which is extracted from the Vetiver roots prior to the acetylation process. The second, Vetiveryl acetate is produced by direct acetylation of the whole Vetiver essential oil and contains more accessory alcohols so it has a slightly higher IFRA limit and a more complex drydown. It is also slightly lower in price. Our vetiver acetate from MANE (reference 53281) is more sheer and diffusive than most and is the star of Frater Perfumes' best selling Vetiver [https://frater.com/products/vetiver] fragrance and Molecule 03 by Escentric Molecules. When other Vetiver Acetates fade away, this astonishingly good version keeps going and going. It has a presence and a royal quality that absolutely justifies its higher price point. This Vetiver Acetate has a woody character with spicy and citrus nuances. This makes for a more interesting inclusion in fragrances and far more lively blends with aroma chemicals like Iso E Super [https://fraterworks.com/products/iso-e-super], Lorysia [https://fraterworks.com/products/lorysia] and Vertofix Coeur. This is the closest you can get to the famed Acetivenol of times gone by.
