Geraniol is one of the four most common rose alcohols (along with phenyl ethyl alcohol [https://fraterworks.com/products/phenyl-ethyl-alcohol], nerol and citronellol), present in all rose varieties. Geraniol naturally isolated from palmarosa (a grass native to India) is the finest quality available. It has a richness and complexity absent in synthetic products and it is the geraniol we use in all of our classical bases. As well as forming a key part of a rose complex, geraniol adds freshness and lift to fragrances.
