Boisiris is a rich woody heart note with iris connotations which can be used in traces to add volume to a fragrance or in overdose, as in the case of Royal Oud by Creed where it forms a full 12% of the fragrance. Boisiris' versatility can be seen in its broad uses: in the great Fixobois base of Firmenich (which was sadly recently reformulated) it adds a blending and smoothing effect, while in their Civettte Synthetic it contributes volume and a woody nuance to the animalics.
