Tarragon oil is a wonderful herb with a distinctive anise note. It is
indispensible in Chypre fragrances and was found in the original (formula
below). Our signature Hungarian tarragon is lively and fresh; a must have oil.
According to Steffen Arctander: “Tarragon (estragon) is a colorless, or very
pale yellow to greenish-yellow liquid, with a sweet-anisic, green-spicy,
slightly celery-like odor, very similar to that of the fresh herb.
Tarragon (Estragon) is used in perfumery, usually in trace amounts, in Chypre,
l’Origan types, Fougères, lilac bases, green floral bases, etc.
