Historically Haitian origin vetiver played second fiddle to the Bourbon type [https://fraterworks.com/products/vetiver-bourbon] (now from Madagascar) but in more recent times tastes have shifted and the Haiti type is now preferred. LMR produced the finest qualities and so it is their stock we have. The price on this material is as good as we can get it but due to unrest in Haiti (as of writing in 2024) supplies are becoming scarce and costs will increase so get it while you can! We will continue to supply it as long as we can get it and LMR will be resuming production once peace returns to Haiti. This Vetiver oil is COSMOS certified and holds the LMR “For Life” Certification which “recognizes an organization’s compliance with specific sustainability criteria, including transparency, environmental responsibility, fair working conditions and positive relations with producers and local communities.” Note: Fraterworks is not a registered COSMOS company so while this product is CSM certified when it reaches us, we cannot use that terminology when we resell.
