Plicatone is a lovely synthetic from Firmenich which has a light herbal top note reminiscent of artemisia and myrtle with side notes of cedarwood. It also has a hint of fruity rose ketone. It's dual nature makes it ideal to link wood base notes with herbal top notes. A trace is used in Calvin Klein's Defy (2021), while 0.2% is found in Valentino Uomo (2014) though it is perhaps more famously known for its inclusion in the great Fixobois base of Firmenich. aromachem deer musk no_reg
