This lovely basil oil (Basil de Grasse) has a high methyl chavicol count which makes it more anisic than the linalool rich type [https://fraterworks.com/products/basil-oil-ct-linalool]. Basil was used to great effect in Eau Sauvage (ct Linalool) and Brut (ct Methyl Chavicol), demonstrations formulas of which are both below. Basil oil blends extremely well with Suralette™ Extra [https://fraterworks.com/products/suralette?keyword=suralette], Canthoxal [https://fraterworks.com/products/canthoxal] and most other herbal notes. It is particularly popular in mens fragrances.
