MADRANOL® has a clean, sweet, powdery violet scent with nuances reminiscent of orris root, violet leaves, and faint raspberry or berry undertones. It is significantly less woody and less dry than the better-known methyl ionones. Compared to beta-ionone, it is more floral and less austere, which makes it especially useful for modernised violet accords where a lighter, fruitier tone is preferred over classical austerity. Its diffusiveness is moderate, with very good tenacity, making it well-suited for use in mid to base notes. USAGE MADRANOL® elevates compositions with its refined powdery-floral character. Modern perfumers utilise it at 0.5-2% for sophisticated violet signatures. It delivers exceptional tenacity while maintaining transparency throughout development. Use MADRANOL® in conjunction with ionone derivatives for dimensional violet accords. Dose at higher concentrations (2-4%) in soaps for substantivity. Pair with green galbanum notes or heliotropin to create classical yet contemporary floral foundations.
