Lavandin Grosso opens with fresh herbaceous-floral character—clean,
camphoraceous, and immediately evocative of lavender fields in Provence from
which our oil hails. The sweet floral heart develops quickly, while woody
undertones add depth without heaviness. The linear quality that some consider a
limitation is actually a strength: predictable, consistent, and exceptionally
versatile.
Lavandin is a cross between high altitude "true" lavender (Lavandula
angustifolia) and low altitude spike lavander (Lavandula spica). The resulting
oil is a bolder and more complex oil than either of its parents.
