In 1926 Hubert and George Fraysse founded Synarome and produced the greatest bases of their time: Animalis [https://fraterworks.com/products/animalia-animalis] and Ambrarome. The following year their brother, André, became in-house perfumer for Lanvin and created the masterpiece Arpège [https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0682/1448/9400/files/Arpege849195.pdf?v=1695765984] in collaboration with Paul Vacher. Fraysse and Vacher crafted Arpège [https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0682/1448/9400/files/Arpege849195.pdf?v=1695765984] around one of Synarome's lesser-known (but in many ways equally influential) bases called Epicea, which remained in production right up to the twenty-first century. Fraterworks Epice FW revives that forgotten masterpiece, rich in nutmeg, pepper and allspice. While Epice FW has a somewhat ancient pedigree it is beautifully suited to modern fragrances and would make a wonderful starting point for a sophisticated and rich spicy gourmand fragrance. golden no_reg
