Jasmin Épicé meaning "spicy jasmine" is one of the earliest Jasmin bases. It was
used to great effect in L'Origan by Coty in synergy with the glorious Rose
D'Orient [https://fraterworks.com/products/rose-dorient] base. It was created to
utilise the most recently discovered jasmin molecules during perfume's age of
discovery (the early 20th century) in conjunction with the finest spice oils.
Despite its vintage, Jasmin Épicé is still a truly capable workhorse jasmine
base and it blends beautifully with citrus notes (especially bergamot and
orange) and spices (including carnation bases such as Dianthus
[https://fraterworks.com/products/dianthus]), making it ideal for oriental
types.
