Isoeugenol, the classic clove-like basenote, is highly restricted and so other avenues are needed to give a long lasting carnation dry down to a scent. Enter Methyl Diantilis®. This chemical mirrors much of the effects of its older cousin but with the added advantages of greater stability and less susceptibility to discolouration.
