Blackcurrant Mercaptan presents an intensely sulfurous, catty blackcurrant character with tropical-fruity facets, green onion-like notes, and a distinctive minty-piney undertone from its buchu [https://fraterworks.com/products/buchu-oil] origin. You must deploy Blackcurrant Mercaptan at extremely low concentrations (0.005-0.5% maximum, often below 0.05%) using pre-diluted solutions of 1%, 0.1%, or even 0.01% to achieve proper control. This sulfur-containing monoterpenoid transforms dramatically with dilution - overwhelming and harsh neat, but revealing vibrant blackcurrant magic at trace levels. Working with this material neat will almost always lead to a failed batch so do use caution. We sell this material pure and diluted to 10%, 1% and 0.1%.
