Jonquil and Narcissus are variants of the same plant family (Narcissus). Visually the jonquil is all yellow (sometimes with a darker orange corona) while narcissus flowers have a golden corona surrounded by white petals. Olfactorily, the Jonquil is warm, honeyed, fruity and floral while the narcissus is green, leathery and indolic with a vaguely animalic facet. These extracts are beautiful materials, and some perfumers blend them together for a layered floral complexity but there are also distinct uses for each so we highly recommend including both in your palette. This Jonquil absolute is the finest on the market today. It is produced by LMR and comes from freshly gathered blossoms from the French countryside. Due to cost and power, we offer this pure and diluted to 10% in natural TEC with a touch of natural benzyl benzoate as a co-diluent to ensure complete solubility.
