Silvial opens with a bright floral burst that feels clean and watery, followed by a subtle sparkle that hints at citrus zest. This powerful muguet material delivers crystalline lily of the valley freshness without the heavy sweetness of older alternatives. You'll find its marine quality and aldehydic touch particularly valuable when modernising classic floral structures. At low levels Silvial refreshes top notes and adds a watery floral sheen, perfect for modern colognes. Push it into the mid-range and it becomes the star of a muguet accord, often paired with traces of hydroxycitronellal or rose oxide for added petal realism. The material blends beautifully with lilac materials, rose alcohols, styrax and methylionones . Its aldehydic character provides exceptional lift to dense orientals whilst the marine facet brings contemporary freshness to woody bases. Use Silvial between 1-15% in fine fragrance, capping around 5% to prevent sharpness. Reserve higher dosages up to 20% for functional products where bloom after dilution is vital. The material shows excellent tenacity at one week on blotter with good substantivity both damp and dry.
