Centaurée jacée (centaurea jacea) is a French meadow flower that has vanished
from the perfumers palette in the 21st century. Once a beloved member of the
esteemed violet / iris family it so inspired François Coty that in 1905 he
released a fragrance named La Jacée based entirely on its delicate scent!
