Liatris flowers have a scent as unique as their appearance. Also known as deer tongue, liatris provides us with liatrix absolute, perhaps the finest of all the coumarin rich plant oils. Liatrix absolute takes the best of hay, vanilla, tobacco and genet and combines them into one: a floral herbaceous almost creamy scent that is the olfactory equivalent of a bright sunny day. Smelling liatrix you simply can't help but smile with sheer pleasure. Use this base when building sophisticated tobacco accords that demand authenticity with fewer regulatory constraints. Its complex profile bridges the gap between gourmand sweetness and masculine hay-leather dryness. Layer it beneath rose and geranium for vintage barbershop fougères, or combine with vanilla and benzoin for opulent oriental bases. Because liatrix absolute is now virtually impossible to obtain, we have produced this marvellous TruAbs, a 100% natural replica that is truly to die for. natural TruAbs
