Compound Five is a raw compound of Chanel No 5 by Ernest Beaux in all its original glory! This compound is the first of its kind for Fraterworks. It is the complete original No 5 with no modifications at all except the sympathetic replacement of Tonkin deer musk which is now illegal to buy and sell. Because the original perfume contained Musk Ambrette which is prohibited from perfume use, we are offering this as an archival compound only. It must not be used or sold as a perfume and must not be applied to skin. We recommend pairing this with our Deluxe Perfumer's Alcohol [https://fraterworks.com/products/perfumers-alcohol] which contains Solgard® (to minimise the destructive properties of the sun), a 15ml Luxury Glass Bottle [https://fraterworks.com/products/luxury-scent-bottle-15ml] and a set of 100 mouillettes [https://fraterworks.com/products/scent-strips] so you can display this piece of history in your own home and allow friends and family to enjoy its scent safely through the use of smelling strips.  Compound Five contains more than 25% pure jasmine absolute [https://fraterworks.com/products/jasmin-grandiflorum-absolute], rare Iris absolute, Ylang-ylang [https://fraterworks.com/products/ylang-ylang-superior], finest Bourbon vanilla absolute [https://fraterworks.com/products/vanilla-bourbon-absolute], and many many more naturals and isolates which were cutting edge in 1921 when Mr Beaux crafted this masterpiece. The original perfume was sold as a 38% dilution. All you need to fill a 15ml bottle is 5 grams of Compound five blended with with 10 grams of alcohol.
