Compound Outlands is our internal formula for Outlands by Amouage. Launched in 2024 as part of the prestigious Essences collection, this is a sophisticated oriental woody fragrance built around frankincense and patchouli with a striking contrast between bright citrus opening and deep resinous base. This compound features a complex incense-forward heart enhanced with earthy patchouli and warm spices including saffron and cumin. The top notes of lemon, bergamot, and cardamom provide an unexpectedly bright and invigorating opening, while elemi and Sichuan pepper add aromatic lift. The base delivers a rich amber accord layered with vanilla, benzoin, and labdanum, grounded by subtle oud and birch. The result is a dry, resinous fragrance with excellent projection and exceptional longevity – sophisticated and uncompromising. This compound is IFRA and EU compliant and ready to dilute and bottle. Just add alcohol.
