Silvanone Supra opens with a soft, sweet powderiness - warm skin dusted with talc, underscored by a gentle animalic presence that recalls vintage nitromusks without their harshness. There is a milky, almost lactonic quality beneath the powder. The effect is intimate, enveloping, and unmistakably musky. This Givaudan macrocyclic musk is a blend of cyclohexadecanolide and cyclopentadecanone (Exaltone), combining the powdery sweetness of a macrocyclic lactone with the animalic warmth of a macrocyclic ketone. Use it in orientals and ambers where you need musk that radiates rather than merely sits. It brings a living, skin-like warmth to white florals and adds powdery depth to spicy carnation accords. Silvanone Supra is extraordinarily tenacious—it will last months on a blotter. You can dose it generously, up to twenty percent in your concentrate, without distortion.
