This is Firmenich's Firbest reconstruction of castoreum, created without any animal-derived ingredients. The Firbest technology combines natural and synthetic materials to replicate the olfactory profile of traditional castoreum absolute—the warm, animalic, leather-like sweetness that made natural castoreum essential in classic chypres, fougères, and leather perfumes.
