Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Amber xtreme (IFF) has a dry amber and wood scent. The odour is very strong, so
making a dilution of, for example, 10% can be useful, IPM is most suitable for
this. Typical use is as a high impact material in woody and amber accords. You
usually use a maximum of 0,5% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It
combines well with wood, amber and musks. It works as a booster for the
fragrance composition, the other scents in the composition are also enhanced. In
perfumes it is mainly a base note, it is stable in most products, including
soap. It is suitable for use in candles.

Amber xtreme (IFF) is a colourless to pale yellow liquid at room temperature.
The purity is at least 94% (sum of the isomers) and the substance has a fairly
long shelf life. It does not occur in nature, it is a synthetic substance. The
manufacturer is the American IFF.
