Usage

Auralva (IFF) aurantiol has a floral scent reminiscent of orange blossom. The
scent is not particularly strong, but because it is a very viscous liquid, using
a 50% solution is practical. A 50% solution in DPG can be found elsewhere in the
webshop. Typical use is in floral accords, especially orange blossom, lime
blossom and other floral scents. You usually use between 0,1% and 5% of this
substance in the fragrance composition. It combines well with many floral
scents, but also with ambers and musks. It adds warmth and sweetness to the
scent. In perfumes it is mainly a base note, it is stable in most products,
including soap.

Auralva (IFF) aurantiol is an orange-red, very viscous liquid at room
temperature. The substance has a fairly long shelf life. It is a so-called
Schiff base, within the fragrance world this is a substance that is created by
the reaction of indole or an anthranilate with an aldehyde. In this case methyl
anthranilate and hydroxycitronellal. It does not occur in nature, it is a
synthetic substance that is also largely based on synthetic raw materials.
