Benzoin Siam resinoid 50% in DPG has a sweet and spicy scent that perfumers call balsamic. It is somewhat reminiscent of the smell of, for example, vanilla. The smell is not very strong, so no further dilution is necessary. A versatile fragrance that adds value to many fragrance compositions. You usually use between 0,1% and 10% of this substance in the fragrance composition.

Benzoin Siam resinoide 50% in DPG is a yellow to orange-brown, viscous liquid at room temperature. This consists of half DPG and the rest Benzoin Siam resinoide - it has a long shelf life. A resinoid is an extract that is made with certain solvents, usually alcohol. This solvent is removed as best as possible from the extract. The fragrance comes from Benzoin Siam, the resin of the Siam benzoin shrub, or Styrax tonkinensis Craib ex Hartwich. This occurs naturally in South-East Asia, especially in Thailand (=Siam) and Vietnam.
