Benzoin Sumatra resin has a warm, spicy sweet scent. It can be used unaltered in
potpouri, but making it smaller in a mortar can help with processing.

Benzoin Sumatra resin is a yellow to brown resin at room temperature. It is a
natural product that is extracted and collected in a traditional way. It can
therefore contain up to 15% contaminants such as sand, wood, but also parts of
previously used packaging. The resin has a fairly long shelf life.
