Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Blackcurrant bud absolute has a fruity green scent reminiscent of blackcurrants.
The scent is not particularly strong, but the absolute is syrupy to solid;
making a dilution of, for example, 10% can therefore be useful. TEC and DPG are
suitable for this. You mainly use it in fruit accords. Usually you use a trace
to 5% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It goes well with other
green and fruity scents, but also with floral scents such as rose and violet. In
addition to the aforementioned scent, it has an animal sulphur aspect, which can
make fragrance compositions more exciting and interesting. In perfumes, it is
mainly a heart to base note.
Physical properties

Blackcurrant bud absolute is a dark brown to black syrupy paste at room
temperature. The substance has a fairly long shelf life, provided it is stored
in a cool, dry and dark place (NOT in the refrigerator).
