Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Bornafix (IFF) has a woody-amber scent. The scent is not particularly strong,
undiluted use is common. Typical use is in wood and amber accords. You usually
use between 1% and 10% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It
combines well with other wood and amber scents, but also with many floral scents
and citrus. It adds warmth and depth to the fragrance, much like Iso E Super,
but it is a bit more green in scent. In perfumes it is mainly a base note, it is
stable in most products, also in soap, scented candles and even bleach.

Bornafix (IFF) is a colourless to light yellow liquid at room temperature. The
purity is at least 95% and the substance has a fairly long shelf life. It does
not occur in nature, it is a synthetic substance. The manufacturer is the
American IFF.
