Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Canthoxal (IFF) has a fresh scent reminiscent of lily of the valley, blossoms,
clean laundry. The scent is not particularly strong, undiluted use is usual.
Typical use is in floral accords and water fragrances. You usually use between
0,1% and 5% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It combines well
with citrus, anise flowers and spices. It adds a light water-fresh aspect to the
fragrance. In perfumes it is mainly a top to middle note, it is stable in many
products, including soap.

Canthoxal (IFF) is a colourless to slightly yellow liquid at room temperature.
The purity is at least 97% and the substance has a fairly long shelf life. It
does not occur in nature, it is a synthetic substance. The manufacturer is the
American IFF.
