Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Cedramber (IFF) has a dry scent reminiscent of ambergris and cedarwood, but
also, for example, patchouli and vetiver. The smell is not very strong, so it
can be used undiluted. Typical use is in woody, leather and amber accords, but
in smaller amounts it goes well with flowers, fruits and many other scents. You
usually use between 0.1% and 10% of this substance in the fragrance composition,
but anything more is not a problem. It is primarily a base note in perfumes and
is stable in most products, including soaps and acidic products.
Physical properties

Cedramber (IFF) or cedryl methyl ether, is a colorless to pale yellow liquid at
room temperature. The purity is at least 95% and the substance has a long shelf
life. It is virtually non-existent in nature, it is a synthetic material. This
is largely based on vegetable raw materials. The manufacturer is IFF.
