Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Cedroxide has a 'dry' wood smell. The smell is quite strong, a dilution can be
useful in some cases, for example 25% in IPM. It combines well with other
cedar-like scents. Cedroxide is drier than cedramber and more ambery than
norlimbanol: these three give the perfumer a nice choice in balance between dry
woods and sweet amber in a cedar/amber accord. It is primarily a base note in
perfumes and is stable in most products, including soap.
Physical properties

At room temperature it is a pale yellow to yellow liquid. The purity is at least
80%, the substance has a fairly long shelf life. The substance does not occur in
nature, but it is largely based on natural raw materials, such as fractions of
cedar oil. The manufacturer is the Swiss Firmenich.
