Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Cedryl Acetate (IFF) has a woody smell, especially cedar. The odor is medium
strong, so dilution is usually not necessary. You mainly use the substance in
wood chords, or in smaller amounts as a wood accent. These go well with leather
scents, flowers, for example roses, chypres, fougères and many other scents. As
a rule, you use 1 to 20% cedryl acetate in your fragrance composition, in some
cases less or more. It goes well with other woody scents, such as cedar and
vetiver. The substance is stable in many products, also reasonable in soap.
Physical properties

At room temperature, Cedryl Acetate (IFF) is a yellow, clear liquid, the
substance has a fairly long shelf life. The substance is made from natural cedar
oil and acetic acid. Because the method of the manufacturers can vary quite a
bit, there are different types of cedryl acetate. The raw materials both occur
in nature, the end product does not. Manufacturer of our cedryl acetate is IFF.
