CO2 Orris root has a green woody scent reminiscent of iris and violets. The
scent is not particularly strong, so it can be used undiluted. Making a solution
of, for example, 25% can still be useful: the product is solid at room
temperature. IPM seems to be particularly suitable as a solvent. You mainly use
it in wood and iris accords. One usually uses between 0,1% and 10% of this
substance in the fragrance composition. It goes well with other green scents and
wood scents, but can also be used in red fruit scents. It is still little used
because it has not been on the market for very long and is quite expensive. It
is mainly a base note in perfumes.

CO2 Orris root is a beige to orange-brown waxy solid at room temperature. The
substance has a fairly long shelf life, provided it is kept cool, dry and dark
(NOT in the refrigerator).
