Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Cyclamen aldehyde, or cyclamal, has a green floral scent reminiscent of flowers
such as lily of the valley and cyclamen. The smell is not particularly strong,
so undiluted use is common. Typical use is in green floral accords. You usually
use between 0.1% and 10% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It
combines well with other green scents, as well as floral, aldehydes and fruit
scents. Think orange blossom, linden blossom, lilac, magnolia and hawthorn. It
is primarily a heart note in perfumes and is stable in most products, including
soap.

Cyclamen aldehyde is a colorless to pale yellow clear liquid at room
temperature, with a purity of at least 98%. The substance has a fairly long
shelf life and does not occur in nature.
