Use (Hekserij)
Damascenone Total (Fir) has a complex scent: red fruits: eg plums and berries,
roses, tea, herbs, spices, tobacco: it's all there. The scent is powerful.
Making a dilution of, for example, 5 or 10% is therefore a good idea. Although
it is obvious to use damascenone where the aforementioned scents are desired, it
can also prove excellent in gourmand and wood scents, for example. In rose
fragrances, some form of damascenone, such as this one, is more or less
necessary: ??without it, it's rosy at best. In low doses it already contributes
to naturalness and appearance. It is not an easy substance, which is easily
dosed too high. It is primarily a top or heart note in perfumes and is stable in
most products, including soap. Keep cool, dry, dark and out of reach of
children.
Physical properties
Properties (Hekserij)
Damascenone Total (Fir) is a light yellow to yellow liquid at room temperature,
the substance has a fairly long shelf life. The substance occurs in nature, but
the synthetic version is used for use as a fragrance. You can still receive a
bottle with only the name Damascenone, but in all cases it is Damascenome Total
from the Swiss Firmenich.
