Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Dihydrojasmone has a floral scent reminiscent of jasmine. The scent is not
particularly strong, undiluted use is usual. Typical use is in floral accords,
especially of jasmine. You usually use between 0,1% and 5% of this substance in
the fragrance composition. It combines well herbs, green scents and wood. In
perfumes it is mainly a base note, it is stable in most products, including
acidic products and soap.

Dihydrojasmone is a colourless to slightly yellow liquid at room temperature.
The purity is at least 99% and the substance has a fairly long shelf life. It
hardly occurs in nature, osmanthus absolute is such an exception. For use as a
fragrance, the synthetic version is used.
